It has something for everyone from the Fire Swamp to Peter Cook as the Clergyman ( if you don't weep laughing you've had your funny bone removed and replaced ) and of course a romance that equals Romeo and Juliet. All I can say is watch it once, watch it twice watch it a hundred times and you will always love it.

I walked into a hall of residence tv room to find this film playing. This is one of the most challenging ways to watch a film - walk in half way through and try to grasp the plot and whether or not you are allowed to laugh at the ridiculous bits! At first I was very confused, then I was very amused. Once I realized that the film was meant to be funny, I found it very enjoyable. Kitch, cheesy and very very funny.

This movie is great and is almost the exact same as the book version. It has great action scenes, a fairy tale plot, and some great humor mixed in. It's one of a few movies that made me actually care what happens in the end. The characters are well thought out. Besides any movie that has Andre the Giant in it has to be good. Would a 12 year old franchise and a Bruce Willis in his 50's hold up to its predecessors? So with a little tension (especially when pulling out my credit card to pay for the ticket) I wondered what this may bring. Well, I have to say that the story is not bad. The acting is good. The action is definitely there, probably more than in all the others and for it being a pg-13 film probably right at the edge. Bruce was fabulous and the whole plot was believable. I think they did a good job in continuing the seemingly never ending story of John McClane who for one reason or another ends up in an unlikely life situation for the fourth time in his life and dies as hard as a human possibly can. Action packed entertainment though and totally worthwhile seeing, if you like the type of film. All in all it did not disappoint, it held up to what it promised and I might go see it again, just because the thrill of being in a grand theatre brings the action more across than on a TV. I like the title because it is one of my mottos: Never give up, but rather die with honor (like a Klingon) trying to do what's right.
